KEEPING UP WITH THE... TRENDS
as I am growing, I am learning
After Graduating California State University, Sacramento with a major in Fashion Merchandising and Design, I feel I have the necessary tools to create and inspire others through my work. Throughout my whole life, I have been dressing up and experimenting with many different looks, styles and colors. I have always loved shopping and looking for the perfect piece to add to my never-ending wardrobe. I have this passion to find clothing that I know i'll love for a long time to come, and pieces that I know are just a fleeting trend. I also love documenting these looks on my social media accounts and displaying my fashion sense through my style and accessories.

My favorite style of dress is street style, because it is very unique in the ways you can style different looks and outfits. My wardrobe is mainly soft street style and trending accent pieces for my love of casual wear and the uniqueness one can perceive.

MORE ABOUT ME
Trend Forecasting
In today's day and age, it's hard to be truly "original", though who's to say what original even is. Society has engrained this social construct in our minds of what is good/bad or in/out is, and I like to think of myself as someone who keeps up with those times. I am someone who always takes the extra time to think, evaluate, rethink and re-evaluate. It's important to always keep and open mind and, of course, have amazing style, but there are always other perspectives to consider. I personally am someone who thinks of my different perspectives and outcomes when making a decision, and through my use of knowledge from constantly staying up-to-date and wanting to know more about how I can improve, adjust, and execute, I know being in a creative field is where I'm meant to be.

MY YOUTH
How it all began
I was born in Mountain View, California in October of 1997. Since I can remember, Ive been playing dress-up and picking out my own clothes and outfits. I've always been so picky as to what I would buy and wear, and now that I'm older, I can see how I've always been concerned about what I dress like. Throughout my whole life, I've lived in Northern California, and while this has really shaped how I see the world (living in the Silicon Valley) I would love to travel and see the rest of the world, which I am slowly accomplishing.
One of my favorite things about myself is that I was born in my favorite season: fall. Fall is my favorite time of year to dress because I feel the weather and holiday combination really gives me a chance to express what I truly love wearing. Halloween is also an amazing holiday for fashion enthusiasts because of the many abundant and fantastic costume designs which I always love to create and observe on social media.

WORK PHILOSOPHY
Quick Insights as to why I love where I'm going

OLD AND NEW COLLIDING
In today's modern world, it is easy to blend into the crowd with new and emerging trends. Luckily, I know just how to keep up. From browsing WWD, Vogue, W Magazine, Elle, Harpers Bazaar (to name a few of my favorite) and so many other high end fashion forward magazines, to browsing the latest websites online. These sites include Instagram, Pinterest, VSCO, Tumblr, Depop, Twitter, and even TikTok. Teens and Young adults are creating and contributing so much more to fashion and constantly redefining the current trends, styles and over-all looks that are in, in the current season. I have also been on social media myself, constantly browsing and scouring the internet for fun and new styles to consider for my own wardrobe. I have fun being on social media and never considered it a "time waster" because the more I roam and search through pages, instagram models' and influencers posts, and even just looking at funny memes, I always know that I'm on top of the game.
ORGANIZATIONAL QUEEN
I strongly believe that organization to-the-tee is (almost) mandatory in this industry. As we see hundreds of thousands of key elements, details, designs, threads, colors and many, many different fabrics; we see what apparel is comprised of, and to keep track of all of these components, we must be organized! I keep my work nice and tidy, as well as the rest of my organized schedule. When working with large quantities of smaller items and larger bulk orders, it's important to keep track in an orderly fashion (no pun intended). I use excel often to plan out my budget, create charts and schedules for miscellaneous reasons, and I feel it is such an integral part of being organized. Canva is also another program I use to help schedule posts and keep track of work. I also always carry a journal on me in which I use to write any notes down, make lists and schedules of when and what to get accomplished, as well as doodling, as I feel inspired randomly and can jot down anything at any-time to revisit and maybe recreate for later purposes. Being organized is something that is important in every aspect in life, and I love taking the time to be organized as it makes me feel very centered and happy.

MAKING CONNECTIONS
Being in any business, it's important to connect with others. In the fashion industry, it's very important to make connections and integrate with one another. Being a social person, I love meeting new people, travelling to new places and getting to know the people I work with and people I have yet to meet. As a fashion enthusiast, I love chatting with my friends and others about new fashion trends and discussing the purchases I had recently made and figuring out which items would pair well with others to complete the look. I am an all-around motivator who loves to see people smile and get along and I also put my honesty and candor on the line which shows people I'm a genuine person who will tell you what to buy and what not to buy. I want my friends to look great so they can feel great as well, and nothing makes me happier than when I help a friend look and feel phenomenal.
